The terms "row house" and "townhouse" are occasionally interchanged. So, what exactly is the distinction between a townhouse and a row house? These notions are intertwined. They both share a common wall with their next unit, and so do not have side space. However the key difference is that a townhouse does not have to be constructed in the same design, while a row home usually has the same architectural design. Row houses are usually less expensive than townhouses.

Row houses are often less expensive than single-family homes, making them an excellent choice for  first-time homeowners. Row houses, unlike flats or condominiums, often feature greater square footage without the price tag, implying that you may get more bang for your money.Row houses give you the feel of an independent space as you would usually have a small front garden as well as backyard space.

The similarity of row houses may be a disadvantage if you want your property to stand out. You may hear your neighbours since your walls are shared with them, depending on the building material used to create your home. Due to the concentration of windows at the front and rear of the residence, natural light may be limited in row houses.Because the units share a common wall, row homes are designed to make efficient use of the land. Both the customer and the developer benefit greatly from this. The consumer benefits from low prices, while the developer finds it simple to plan and build, especially in places where space is limited.

Ensure that the home you plan to buy is near the city’s amenities and prominent locations such as your office, kids’ school, convenience stores, health centres and gyms.

The space is another primary consideration. By space, we don’t mean that you should invest in a large or spacious house. It means the house strikes a perfect balance in terms of space; it should not look compact and congested since you will live there for years. The price is undoubtedly the most important factor when buying a new house. You should decide on your budget once you are sure of the location and size of the house. Be wise, and don’t go out of your desired pricing.

It is important to rest assured about safety while buying a house. You can purchase a good and independent security system for a row house. The good thing about the security system is the technological advancements that keep it blocked from view. It is more effective than keeping a night security guard. Also, CCTV cameras can be installed when there is a chance of intrusion.Though the concept of a row house design has recently been adopted in India, it has found a great place in modern Indian society. The main advantage of row houses is they give you enough flexibility for modifications and amendments.

Row houses were originally the backbone of aristocratic society and social gatherings in many Western European nations, and have since become a symbol of communal life in many countries, promoting a sense of sustainability in a world of soaring skyscrapers. Row houses in India are the ideal middle ground between the confined space of an apartment and lavishness of the bungalows, with their unique way of combining modern lifestyle, and aesthetics.

Row houses are aesthetic and modern. They are modern and yield more UDS as compared to apartments. Depending on the price range, you get the very best of amenities in a row house. It also promotes community living and communal harmony without affecting your privacy. The biggest difference between bungalows, flats, and row houses is in their structure. Bungalows have the highest UDS (Undivided Share of Land.), while flats have the lowest. Row houses are a median between these two. For instance, row houses are cheaper than bungalows but costlier than flats. Moreover, row houses are usually found on the outskirts of big and small cities. Bungalows are usually rarer in nature due to their cost. Apartments or flats are the most common in cities.
